BOOTYCamp! May 2011 – Day 5.

…. IMPRESSEDDDD with this MAY Team Today! Out of the 35 people we have on this TEAM 29 of you showed up today to WORK. My favorite TEXT I got this morning was “Let’s do THIS!!!!!” – Jen Khoury 🙂

Me and MN, that’s short for Mother Nature, have a great relationship… She gave us a little shower at around 7am and then it’s didn’t start to GO NUTS until 7.30am on the dot. Even with the elements you guys came with GREAT Energy and we had a SICK Workout that’s definitely going to help you CRUSH those Test Scores come next week.


I like the rain days at Camp believe it or not. I use to HATE them. I thought, ohhh know it’s not perfect and people aren’t going to have a good time. But over the years I’ve found that we actually have the BEST time during the rain because we are forced to come together. We look at each other on these crazy days and know we went through something special together… In a CRAZY city like Manhattan people don’t share moments like the one we shared today. This morning you had a choice. The obvious would be to not show up, or complain. BUT everyone who showed up took the high road. We set that alarm and we made the choice to have the BEST Hour together possible, rain or shine.

Every day we have choice as to how we’re going to live our lives… Some days it rains. We got tougher as unit this morning… and for that I’m proud. My college coach use to say this to our Team… It was on the wall in her office. “Choice not Chance determines Destiny… Choose to be a Champion.”  Good Job Team, way to be anything but obvious.


We have 3 workouts left together but I’m thinking ahead a little… because that’s what I do 🙂 15 of you are sharing next month with meeeeee, HOLLLLLLLLLER! Love me some Repeaterrrrrss 🙂 There are about 5/6 spots left in June and I’d love to have you for a couple more weeks. Let me know if you want a spot because once I send out the mass email at the end of the week to my LSF BIG list it’ll be filled. Lets all just do JUNE… I like the TEAM we created this month! May for LIFE 🙂


Thank you to all the BOOTYS who participated in Peak Performance Fit-terVention with me and Nutritionist Sharon Richter. We tackled some controversial topics and had some fun along the way. We have 18 returning Veterans this month and I’d say 95% of them have been to a Team Meeting at least once over the past 5 years, right?! 🙂 It’s a great opportunity to get yourself PUMPED UP and ready for SUMMER… I feel like a ton of the BOOTYCamp! veterans have changed their lives and bodies due to BOOTYCamp! and the Team Meetings. I want what you learn in this camp to carry lloonnggggg past the final whistle… That is what BOOTYCamp! is all about. Thank you to all who participated! If you missed it or want to come again next month let me know – June 18th at 10am… I think I’m going to pair this one with a workout!

IMPORTANT – Every Meeting has new stuff because the industry is constantly changing. CONGRATULATIONS Ellen for winning a FREE training session with me! Work-It-OUT!

DAY 4 The Team came TOGETHER!

DAY 4, WEEK 2…. RECORD BREAKING Performances!

3minute 34second PLANK held by 7 campers! Carolyn wins the SHAKE IT for your life award… That was amazing mind over matter. PROUD.

SHANE ran like the freakin WIND in every competition with Schuler always hot on his trail.

Today there were all around stellar performances by each and every one of you. No matter what level you’re at you were bringing it to the best of your ability in all categories… AMAZING to watch.

I feel like The Team really came together on this sunny New York Morning.



WE ARE HALF-WAY through Camp People. Mentally I’ve found that over the years Bootys have the hardest time in Week 3.  You need to prepare yourself mentally and physically for this week. Because once Week 3 is over you only have two session left, the last one being RESULTS Day. I want you to CRUSH YOUR Test Scores from DAY 1… Annihilate them. NO MERCY.

How do you do that…. You put in the work now. EVERY SECOND COUNTS. That’s how I want you to participate in all your workouts and your life. What if you lived your life like you live your workouts at BOOTYCamp! GIVE 110%, Support the people around you from your heart, When something doesn’t go your way… Do you cry about it and quit?! HELL to the NO… When you get knocked down you GET your ASS right BACK UP with no hesitation. The most successful athletes and people I know on this planet do not hesitate in the negative. They focus on what they want and they do whatever it takes to get there. NO Hesitation, Get out of the doubt-zone as quickly as possible and onto the next opportunity to BRING IT (Right MARTY?!). You have a choice every day as to how you want to live your life.  Believe in the magic of what’s possible.

You are all getting stronger not only physically but also mentally… and that makes me proud.  It’s not about being the BEST it’s about bettering your best. What if you made your life about making every second matter? Do you think it would be extraordinary? I do.

I want you to think about what you want out of the FINAL two weeks of camp. Take it seriously… Make it matter. This is your opportunity to take it to the next LEVEL dudes. Sometimes the next level hurts, but that’s why it’s called the next level. Clearly  🙂

GREAT First WEEK of BOOTYCamp! Team!


Way to ROCK the HOUSE on DAY 2 and Congratulations on completing your first week of BOOTYCamp! May 2011. You all pushed through the workout and proved victorious! I LOVED the energy and Spirit of both TEAMS but on this brisk May Morning Team 1 prevailed.


Here comes the weekend and the choices. Remember why you signed up for BOOTYCamp! in the first place. That goal you wrote down in your journal the other night… Do you really want it? Are you willing to make the SACRIFICES that are required to have it long-term? That’s right… Anything in this life that’s extraordinary requires sacrifice. If you’re not willing to pay the price for extraordinary… You will never be able to feel the glory of greatness. And I gotta tell you… Glory tastes better than any mint chip ice cream, French fry, or bad drink that I’ve had on an uncomfortable date… 🙂 The Glory of looking in that mirror and knowing you did everything it took to make it happen… That’s priceless, that’s confidence, that’s fitness.

Don’t give into temptation this weekend, stick to your guns. GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN.


If  you’re going to RUN like we did today… By day 8 there will be lots to celebrate. Be sure to include other workouts on our off BOOTYCamp! days; SPIN, BOOTCamp Class, Jumping Rope, Swimming, anything to keep the results coming! All and all – STELLAR JOB TODAY!

We have a great group of people, right?! AWESOME ENERGY and All-Star Performances. Thank you for coming ready to BRING IT. I looked at past scores from previous Teams… And there is Absolute PROOF that you guys ROCKED IT. We have some FIT Individuals this month. I’m honored to be your coach and help you take it to the next level, are you committed?!


Tonight in your Journal write down what you want to accomplish over the next 4 weeks. What would put on a smile on your face come Day 8. Set a realistic Goal for yourself… It doesn’t have to be about weight-loss, it can be about getting stronger/faster, getting 10 more push-ups come Finals Day. Have a vision of where you want to go and live into your destiny. Anything is possible if you have the courage to pursue it. JOURNALS. I highly recommend that you document your food over the course of the next 4 weeks. Do you what the number one reason why people are successful at the gym? Genetics, NO! … They’re organized. YUP, ORGANIZED.

Here are 10 Keys to Success

1. Know what your workouts are going to be for the week.

2. Have people in your life that support your goals.

3. Plan out what you are going to eat everyday… Don’t leave it to the mercy of New York City. Bring Snacks so you’re never RAVENOUS. (apples, almonds)

4. If you don’t know what to do, meet with someone who does so they can help you.

5. Have MUSIC on your ipod that will get you going when you don’t want to go.

6. Make Fitness your priority… Get your rest so you can bring it when you are awake and alive. Fatigue makes cowards out of us all… Don’t let tired beat you.

7. NO EXCUSES… Taking your body and your life to the next level hurts sometimes… That’s why it’s called the next level people. YOU ARE STRONG ENOUGH? Get your mind right, it is possible.

8. VISION – Know what you want, if you want to lose 10lbs, wear tighter jeans, or have a six-pack. It’s all possible. Are you willing to do what it takes? We will talk about what it takes at the Team Meeting. Talk the Talk, Walk the Walk.

9. CHANGE IT UP – Don’t do the same thing everyday… Have at least 3 workouts that excite you.

10. Patience – Changing your body and your life takes Time… Be good to yourself and trust the journey. Fitness is not just about what we do on this field together. On Day 4 of Camp I am going to collect your Journals and give them to Sharon Richter, our resident nutritionist for May. She will go over the Journals and return them to you at our Team Meeting on Saturday May 14th.

Gatorade is a GAME CHANGER.

Dudes last month I had one of the most amazing experiences of my Life in LA at the G Series FIT launch Party. I mean I wore a DRESS as illustrated in the picture at the Top! Gatorade is not playing around with this new product line. Lots of you tried the 01 & 02 in my classes last week, GOOD RIGHT?! The Product launch at Walgreens was a SMASH HIT home run… They can’t even keep it on the shelf. Thank you to everyone who went to Walgreens and Downloaded all 3 of my FREE Workout Videos!
