Welcome to the Land of AUGUST!

WOW… Last month was filled with some unexpectedness, eh? YOWZA! 🙂 August is a notoriously slow month for Fitness; people go on holiday and take some time to enjoy the Sun. Create some balance this month man… Take your workouts outside of the gym; go for a run, try paddle boarding, experience midnight yoga… Change it up! 🙂

I have Several Opportunities for us to work out again in August & September, plus an exciting announcement I’m going to release mid-month to all…Miss you Equinox.




* EQUINOX – 7 Years of Glory & Motivation

It’s not the end… It’s just the beginning.

So last month I made the dreaded announcement that I left Equinox… For those of you who take my classes on a regular this announcement was as hard for me as it was for you. Thank you for all the emails, texts, facebook tags, and voicemails… It means more to me than you know.

Imagine this, I’ve had almost all of those classes for 7 years and then on Tuesday the 14th it just ended. Talk about uncomfortable; I went into a minor depression to say the least… OY! 🙂

Before- During- & After class when I say I love you dudes, I think you know I really mean it…. So it’s been tough. BUT at the same time it’s been great for me. Staying in the same place for to long sometimes gets easy and it begins to feel safe. But as you know if you want to take it to the next level you have to Change; “What got you here won’t necessarily get you there” That’s a great book by the way… 🙂

What do I say in class all the time? “Courage is not defined by those who fought and did not fall but by those who fought fell and rose again” OR what’s more like it is… What do you do when you get knocked down people?! YOU GET YOUR A** RIGHT BACK UP! 🙂

In order to take your body to the next level you have to change it up right? Well I believe in order to take your Life to the next level you have to change it up too. Me leaving Equinox and entering the mighty frontier of Entrepreneur-Land is exciting and scary in the same breath.

What Equinox and New York City (that’s YOU) have Taught me….. DRIVE, DISCIPLINE, DO IT.

1. Every second matters so do your best always.
2. Every person matters so be good to people.
3. Take every challenge as an opportunity to be great.
4. There are no mistakes just chances you’ve taken.
5. Never Ever Give Up.
6. Always stay positive.
7. Surround yourself with an ALL-STAR Team (TheBigGAME!, SPIN, BOOTY).
8. Be Patient.
9. The past is History –The Future is a Mystery – And the right Now is The Present that’s why it’s called a gift. Be Present.
10. No Excuses.
11. No Short Cuts.
12. Believe that Anything is Possible if you have the courage to pursue it.
13. Believe that you are stronger than any obstacle big or small.
14. Trust your Journey.
15. And Always remember to… BRING IT.

Happy JULY!

Happppyyy FOURTH of JULY! I hope you enjoyed the F-I-R-E-W-O-R-K-S and The RED, WHITE, & BLUE! Love me some good primary colors 🙂

Last month was one of the most successful months of my life both professionally & personally. Thank you to everyone who continues to follow Lacey Stone Fitness… I started this blast 7 years ago with hardly any followers; my flashiest news was that I had a cool play-list to share with you.

7 years later with a little S-W-E-A-T, and a lot of LOVE so much has happened; 1,000’s of followers & NEWS that makes me want to pinch myself.

GMA ROCKED. Last Month Good Morning America featured Experts like Tracy Anderson, David Kirsch, Jillian Michaels, & ME in their Beach Body Series. Each Expert had a particular BODY PART to focus Monday-Friday. My Body Part? ARMS, yeaahh dudes.

This could’ve gone one of two ways… VERY BAD or VERY GOOD, right?! 🙂 Post camp I was one word, impressed. Gap is a company of corporate climbers who dazzled me with their athletic prowess and spirit. Gatorade is a GAME CHANGER.

Dudes last month I had one of the most amazing experiences of my Life in LA at the G Series FIT launch Party. I mean I wore a DRESS as illustrated in the picture at the Top! Gatorade is not playing around with this new product line. Lots of you tried the 01 & 02 in my classes last week, GOOD RIGHT?! The Product launch at Walgreens was a SMASH HIT home run… They can’t even keep it on the shelf. Thank you to everyone who went to Walgreens and Downloaded all 3 of my FREE Workout Videos!

Happy February From Lacey


Welcome to the shortest month of the year! Last year at this time I was headed to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to get married… This year on February 28th I’ll be celebrating my One Year Wedding Anniversary. HOORAAYYY!!! Time flies, eh? 🙂 That’s why it’s SO important to remain focused on what’s important to you. Be disciplined and present with your vision so you can capitalize on opportunities when they present themselves. When you choose to BRING IT everyday you give yourself the chance to live your life to it’s fullest at the gym, at work, and with the people you love… If you’re not in the game, how can you win?


Last month “Fit Mom” aired on MTV. The show rated as one of the top watched MADE episodes of all time!!! Thank you for watching and all of the lovely emails. Annndd A resounding YES, to answer the most asked question by everybody… “When are you getting your own show?” Everyday I’m working hard at making that happen, it’s coming 🙂

The picture at the top of this email is from The Fit Mom Episode in Times Square– “HEY VANESSA, up here!  It’s not Bird, it’s not a Plane, It’s Lacey your new MADE Coach.” What V did over the course of our 12weeks together was truly remarkable. She lost 30 plus pounds, enrolled in College, got a stable job, rekindled her relationship with her mother, and much more… This Kid BROUGHT IT! Fit Mom is truly an inspirational story and I’m honored to be a part of it. I’m a HUGE believer in the power of positive energy. I believe the energy we give to the world is the energy that comes back to us. That’s why I try to make all my classes high energy with a focus on Team and enthusiasm. If we enjoy what we’re doing it’s going to make us want to come back again and again, right? Making working out an enjoyable experience for you is what my classes are all about, it’s my focus. I want to do everything I can to help you to create consistency in your workouts. The fact of fitness is the more consistent you are the better your results will be.

This month introduce yourself to the girl on the bike next to you, or High-5 that person in TheBigGAME! that makes you smile. Why on earth would I do that… I have enough friends in my life?  I can just hear the little voice in your head. It’s not because I want all my classes to be happy-clappy, it’s because the more fun you have with your workouts the easier it will be for you to give your best.  That’s the method to my MADESS.  My assignment for you this month is to introduce yourself to one person at the gym, your “hi friend.” You can say, I’ve been saying hi to you for year now I thought it might be time to introduce myself 🙂

The more you enjoy working out and the people you do it with the easier it will be to get the results you deserve. I know it’s New York and we all have so many things going on and the Gym is your place to let loose, and, and, and…  BUT in my classes we’re a Team, that’s how I teach you.  Believe it or not the energy you bring to your workouts not only affects you it affects the entire room.  Now, I know some people don’t like the word team because they’ve had bad experiences with it in past. Well, I’m here to tell you so have I… My bad experiences with Team are the reasons why I got into fitness in the first place. I wanted to be the coach I never had…  When you’re having a bad day or a bad workout I’m here to lift you up so you can always play to the best of your ability, that’s what good coaches do.  I don’t care if you’re – young, old, gay, straight, man, woman, black, white, green, fit, or unfit… Everyone is always Welcome. That’s my attitude and that’s the attitude I’d like you to share with me when you take my classes.  I believe everyone has the power to be great, that’s how I coach my classes and that’s my mission in life.

Which brings me to where we started. The more positive we can be.  The more we can support each other in our fitness pursuits, the easier it will be to win at everything we do. Let me coach you to victory…  Lets’ BRING IT PEOPLE!


At the tale end of February I’m going to LA to celebrate my 1-year Wedding Anniversary… You get it, right?!  The reason Jessica’s in LA is because she was cast in a pilot that got picked up by ABC – “The Great State of Georgia.” ROCKED IT OUT!!!!

2011 is underway… We’re already 10 days in. Have you thought about what you want to accomplish this year? Have you written it down?

Every year I take some time at the beginning of January to access where I’d like to be by the end of the year. Last year I was all about accomplishment… I signed with Gatorade, I did two shows with MTV, I auditioned and became a finalist for NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and I got married… It was a whirlwind of Amazingness.

Accomplishment and Success are AWESOME but only if it’s in balance with your soul. I encourage you take some time this month to access your past year. Did it Rock? Are there some things you could tweak this year to make it even better? Are there any changes you could make in your daily ritual that would have a positive impact on your life? Would going to the gym on a regular basis do that, reading more regularly, taking more time to relax?

Take a moment this month to access not only what’s on your mind but also what’s in your heart.  Really think about what makes you happy. Then commit yourself to living a life you’re proud of. Not because other people think it’s cool but because it makes you smile from the inside out. If something in your life isn’t working you have the power to Change… The New Year is the perfect opportunity to do that.  I know change can be hard but sometimes changing what you once thought was “the only way” is The Way to your destiny.

2011 is going to be a groundbreaking year… Dare to dream, work for the luck, and never give up on what makes your heart smile.



My schedule remains the same for 2011 except for two minor changes.

Monday Morning Spin at Greenwich has changed to 6.15am rather than 6.30am. More time to beautify 🙂

* Inspiration – The Fear of Failure

By this point in your life you’ve almost certainly heard the famous acronym; FEAR is  “F-alse, E-vidence, A-ppearing, R-eal.” And unless you’ve really taken time to translate this acronym/saying you’re probably rolling your eyes and looking for the unsubscribe button to this Email Blast as we speak…  Am I right or am I right? 🙂

Listen I’m in the same boat on this one but after reading the book “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson something in me clicked and I started to reconnect with this annoying yet useful saying. Having FEAR is a part of all of us… If you aren’t afraid of something in your life you’re either a liar or you’ve shoved it down so deep you aren’t even aware of how powerfully it affects you.

Fear is that voice in your head that says; No immediately, That’s impossible, I can’t do that, I’m to old, I’m to young, I’m not smart enough? That’s all Fear is, it’s stopping the possibility of something new in your life because you’re “Afraid” of what will happen? But remember what will happen is only “False Evidence Appearing Real.” You can never really know what’s around the corner you just think you might, right? You think you shouldn’t go for it because you’re being “smart” or playing it “safe,” But what is safe and is “playing it safe” really smart? Having a corporate job, getting married, graduating from an Ivy League school… Does that guarantee happiness and success? Clearly in this day in age there are very few things that are certain.

True power of certainty comes from going for it and trusting in yourself that you will be ok. That’s what takes real courage, following your dreams and not worrying about the consequences good or bad. If you can muster up the strength to go for your opportunities, that’s the smartest thing you could ever do for yourself in your life. We as a people need to learn how to “Jump”… Go for our dreams and not worry about negative outcomes because the truth is playing it safe isn’t safe any more. “Safe” isn’t a reality it’s a mindset. The only thing that’s safe and real in life is this moment right now and how we choose to respond to it.

I think it’s crucial that no matter how painful it is in your life you must follow your heart. Don’t let “FEAR” ever get in your way… Trust you can do it, trust you will figure it out.

Final Question: Don’t you want to be able to look in the mirror on the last days of your life exhausted yet completely satisfied and happy? Happy because you know you lived your life to it’s fullest… You jumped, you went for it… You lived.

Here are 2 examples of Men who were once considered major “Failures” in their lives- From the book “The Slight Edge.”

1. “This man ran for the state legislature and was defeated.
Seven years later, he ran for Congress and was defeated.
Five years later, he ran for Congress again and was defeated.
Seven years later, he ran for Senate and was defeated.
A year later, he ran for Vice President and was defeated.

Here’s some background info on the SHOW. According to the producers this episode is going to be FANTASTIC, time will tell 🙂

Frown Turned Upside Down: Due to filming the 2nd MTV episode I won’t be able to have a viewing party for the 1st episode. Guess that means we’ll have to double-up next time for both shows?! As the Famous Tim Dunn says…. “MAKE IT WORK.” 🙂


On Wednesday September 22nd MTV asked me to be a Coach for their HIT Series MADE again?! Hip Hip HoooooOOOOOORRAYY!!!

Truth: Several days prior to MTV’s call I felt completely down in the dumps because I didn’t get chosen for a show I recently gone through a rather rigorous audition process for. Guys, I made it to the finals but in the end they went with another girl.  BLAHHHHH. That’s how I came to find the book “The Slight Edge” from the Inspiration section of this email.

Proof: It’s not what happens to you, it’s how you react to it. Never give up on your dreams and keep your head up because you don’t know what’s RIGHT around the corner. Sometimes things don’t work out because they weren’t supposed to, trust your journey.

* The Dove Movement

Dove, the extraordinary brand that features REAL women in their AD Campaigns asked
little old ME to take part in an INSPIRING event this month.  The Dove Movement for
Self-Esteem is about creating a world where beauty is a source of confidence, not
anxiety and inspiring all women to take simple actions that build self-esteem in
young girls.

Dove is inviting everyone to get involved and make a difference during the Dove
Self-Esteem Weekend (Oct 22-24).  Specifically, they are encouraging everyone to
commit to spending an hour with a girl in their lives on a self-esteem building
activity. Their partners, the Girl Scouts, Boys & Girls Clubs and Girls Inc. will
also have chapter events throughout the country.

Dove is kicking off the weekend with a great self-esteem building event in New York
that I’m honored to be a part of and I wanted to let you know how you can get
involved. Take a second and visit to see all of the events that are taking place across the country.

Also I was given the opportunity to invite 5 girls, ages 13-15, to the event. If you have daughters or know of young girls who’d be interested in taking part in this fantastic event shoot me an email today– . Hard news to stomach…
Because I’m back and fourth through December 11th due to the MTV show I miss a ton of Fridays. Aannd all the Holidays fall in there, Thanksgiving/Hanukkah/Christmas/New Years/etc… before we know it, it’s 2011.

NOOO, YIP!: Mark Hendricks and I agreed that Friday’s 6.30am TheBigGAME! will be taken off the schedule for the rest of 2010. When we decided this a tear rolled down my face… That was my first class ever on the Equinox Schedule. Sigh… Sad feeling in my stomach and my heart. It is my deepest hope that come January 1st, 2011 Friday Morning’s TheBigGAME! will be back on the Equinox schedule. And the Early Birds of Greenwich Village will set their alarms before the sun wakes up for a celebratory reunion of sweat… 1, 2, 3 TOGETHER!

Every other class stays the SAME through 2010 –

I hope your Labor Day Weekend Rocked! Summer is coming to a close and it’s time to fall back into fitness 🙂 God I’ve missed you, I’m finally back this month after 4 weeks of filming… The photo above is a shot from the show, COOL. MTV & Michael Jordan Motivation

One night while I was away filming this MTV show I found myself sitting alone in my hotel room missing city life.  Missing the journey that got me to this point. Missing the people that cheered me on when I didn’t think I had it in me to continue. I began to question the very passion I had for what I do. And then a commercial came on the TV… I’m a firm believer in signs that guide you along the way, signs that protect you from making the wrong decision. One of my idols ever since I was a child was Michael Jordan. Here’s the commercial –

“Your pain does not have to be a weakness it can be your strength. When you can push through the hard times… When you’re able to fight for what you know in your soul to be true… When you’re willing to sacrifice by spending time away from the people you love to make a difference in your life and other peoples lives, you must know you’re onto what you’re meant to do on this planet.

And if you stay present in your dreams signs always come into your life to help you continue… Commercials on the TV, People, Butterflies, Ladybugs…  And if these signs do come up when we’re at your lowest point you must trust that you’re on the right path. That you owe it to yourself to continue. I believe you’re given a gift when you’re born… Something that you’re meant to be great at and it’s your mission on this earth to figure out what that gift is; Master it, Fight for it, and Teach it to others.

Going after a dream that seems unreachable often hurts… Stretching your limits can even be painful but if you can just hold on the pain always subsides. And once you’ve fought through that pain and found a way to believe when there seemed to be no hope at all. When you almost lost that light in your eye… but then you found a way to reignite it. You must know that it’s yours and no one can take it away from you but you.  You must trust that if you don’t give up and do whatever it takes anything is impossible. That if you choose to work everyday of your life at perfecting your skill you will be happy because it is what your heart needs to do. That thing that you just have to do… that might not make you rich or famous but you know that if when you’re old and grey and still doing it, you’ll be happy.

Once you find your gift, that gift that you will fight for… through the pain. Don’t ever let it go.”

That’s what I taught the kid on the show and that’s what got me through that lonely night.  I’ll be sure to let you know when my episode airs, the producers say during the holidays. Thanks for listening… And thank you for cheering me on.

Happy HOTNESS! This summer has been a scorcher… With record-breaking heat how do we stay consistent? August is about having a dream and going for it no matter what. Even when it hurts, even when you’re tired, even when it doesn’t seem as sparkly as it did at the beginning. People give up on their dreams and their bodies way to quickly. GO THE DISTANCE and finish what you started!



One of my ultimate career goals is to make a positive impact on the world through fitness. As New Yorkers you know that television is the most powerful medium out there… There was no question in mind that I had to JUMP at the opportunity to be an MTV Fitness Coach, right?!

What I’ve learned through this episode is that I believe fitness is a macrocosm of life. How I workout with you is exactly how I try to live my life. GO FULL FORCE, never give-up, don’t complain, put a smile on your face, NO EXCUSES, cheer everyone on, Believe in yourself, have a powerful vision that’s more than your workout. If you whine in your workouts you whine in your life, if you suck it up and go for it that can translate to how you behave in your actual reality. Friday the 13th – MTV is coming to film my TheBigGAME! Class at Greenwich Village Equinox. The Early Bird special starts at 6.30am, everyone’s invited to share in this amazing moment with me. Lets show the country just how AWESOME we are. All members are welcome, sorry non-members this time it’s closed to the public.

This is going to be an “Event” taught BOOTCamp! Style… because of licensing rights the music is going to be LADY GAGA Central! Be camera-ready aaannnddd ready to BRING IT! There is a 3% chance MTV may not come… bbuuttt that’s SHOW BUSINESS… That’s why we always BRING IT no matter what, right?! 🙂



WEEKEND TODAY SHOW – I was the Featured instructor on the Sunday Weekend Today Show on WNBC – It’s a fun segment mainly because of my shoes 🙂 – Thank you Erika and Sharon!

NEW YORK TIMES dubbed me a Fitness Fairy Godmother – I like the ring of that!

1 day left of Camp… What a GREAT Team.

GReeatttt Job Today Everyone!

It was a JOY to be back and sweating with you today. I’m really proud of how hard you worked and supported each other; I’m sad I missed most of camp with you BUT I can tell you didn’t miss me so much… YOU KILLED IT TODAY.  Today was about you… But let me tell you the MTV thing is going to be a really great show. I promise to let you know when it airs and we can all remember this great month you shared together as a Team.

You gotta chase your dreams, go after them with everything you have… right?  That is what BOOTYCamp! is all about; Going outside of your comfort zone, pushing it to the limit so you can become even stronger than you ever thought possible.


I need you to come ready to BRING IT to the Nth degree people. SERIOUSLY. You have busted your booty literally for an entire month. Tomorrow needs to be a celebration of all you have worked for. I challenge you all to top each and every category you were tested in on Day 1.  AND I want you to get at least 5 higher in one category, ok?! NO EXCUSES, just do it.  Can I get a HELL yeah?!  If you accept my challenge email me now- Surprise yourself Thursday and KILL IT! Put an exclamation point on a month well done.

Several of you have signed up for BOOTYCamp! August. It’s going to be a stellar squad, lots of ringers, let me know if you want in… And if you can’t make August there are spots in September. September will be the final month of BOOTYCamp! 2010 and will close a chapter on the most successful summer of camps to date. Thank you for being a part of the magic 🙂

BOOTCamp! July Starts TODAY!

Great Day 1 Everyone!

You kicked it into High GEAR this morning. The first Tuesday is a very important day in camp.  As coaches we get see what the strengths and weakness are of the Team.  We also get to witness Brilliance! Congratulations to Nicole for dominating 5 out of 6 categories, now that’s balance baby 🙂

Today I want you to focus on what you want to get out of this month’s BOOTYCamp!   Lose weight, build strength, get faster, build confidence, what do you want… ?  Please write it down and focus on getting there each and every day this month.

You have 7 workouts you’ve signed up for with us. There WILL be consistency this month. It’s vital that you take the time to plan what you’re going to be doing when you’re not at BOOTYCamp! Gym workouts, training sessions, or even a jog outside… What will work for you?
