GREAT First WEEK of BOOTYCamp! Team!

Hey DUDES!

Way to ROCK the HOUSE on DAY 2 and Congratulations on completing your first week of BOOTYCamp! May 2011. You all pushed through the workout and proved victorious! I LOVED the energy and Spirit of both TEAMS but on this brisk May Morning Team 1 prevailed.

ADVICE

Here comes the weekend and the choices. Remember why you signed up for BOOTYCamp! in the first place. That goal you wrote down in your journal the other night… Do you really want it? Are you willing to make the SACRIFICES that are required to have it long-term? That’s right… Anything in this life that’s extraordinary requires sacrifice. If you’re not willing to pay the price for extraordinary… You will never be able to feel the glory of greatness. And I gotta tell you… Glory tastes better than any mint chip ice cream, French fry, or bad drink that I’ve had on an uncomfortable date… :) The Glory of looking in that mirror and knowing you did everything it took to make it happen… That’s priceless, that’s confidence, that’s fitness.

Don’t give into temptation this weekend, stick to your guns. GET OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN.

RESULTS

If  you’re going to RUN like we did today… By day 8 there will be lots to celebrate. Be sure to include other workouts on our off BOOTYCamp! days; SPIN, BOOTCamp Class, Jumping Rope, Swimming, anything to keep the results coming! All and all – STELLAR JOB TODAY!

This Booty-Buster Circuit is 15mins – It will get your butt tighter and more defined, the cardio element will strength the targeted area while make it more lean and toned.

1. Alternating Side Lunge

Make sure one leg is bent and one leg is straight. Keep weight driving down through the bent leg.

FOCUS – Glutes, and inner Thighs, hamstrings and Quads

Also works cardio, and Core

2. Split Lunge

Land back down low in the lunge position jump as high as you can and land softly.

FOCUS – Booty-Glutes, Hamstrings, Quads, Calves

Also works Cardio, and Core

3. Cross Back Lunge

Keep weight driving down through the front heel

FOCUS – Outter Glutes – Medius and Minimus, Quads, Hamstrings

Also Works Core

4. Hip Lifts

Lift your hips as high as you can by squeezing your glutes.

FOCUS Glutes (Glutes Maximus- Butt/Booty), Hamstrings, and calves

5. Modified Side Plank Leg Lift

Lift your hips as high. Make sure your arm is right underneath your shoulder and leg is straight when you lift it.

FOCUS – Glutes (Medius and Minimus)

Also Works Core

Recover for 30seconds and repeat 3X Total Workout Time about 15mins

BOOTCamp! July Starts TODAY!

Great Day 1 Everyone!

You kicked it into High GEAR this morning. The first Tuesday is a very important day in camp.  As coaches we get see what the strengths and weakness are of the Team.  We also get to witness Brilliance! Congratulations to Nicole for dominating 5 out of 6 categories, now that’s balance baby :)

Today I want you to focus on what you want to get out of this month’s BOOTYCamp!   Lose weight, build strength, get faster, build confidence, what do you want… ?  Please write it down and focus on getting there each and every day this month.

You have 7 workouts you’ve signed up for with us. There WILL be consistency this month. It’s vital that you take the time to plan what you’re going to be doing when you’re not at BOOTYCamp! Gym workouts, training sessions, or even a jog outside… What will work for you?

DAY 5 is Pivotal in BOOTY and in LIFE.

AWESOME PEOPLE!

GREAT DAY 5. I meant it when I said week 3 day 5 is a pivotal day in every Camp’s month. Once you can bust through week 3 you’re good to go! Annndd I’m not just talking about BOOTY guys. Treat every month like a camp month, start fresh on Day 1 and bust it out until Day 8. It’s easy to start a month strong or have a good day, but it is the warriors that stay consistent throughout the month. Staying positive through the highs and lows knowing they will accomplish their goals. Treat every month like you treat June and I promise you will have a great YEAR and an awesome LIFE. Today both Teams proved victorious through their work ethics, performances, and spirit. ROCK ON.

TEAM MEETING!

The Team meeting was a SUCCESS. Campers & non-campers came to support the cause. Someone came to tape the meeting for their website so I’ll let you know when it airs for those of you who could not attend. The main point of the meeting was that you can have whatever body you want. You just need to plan how you’re going to attack your fitness, what you need to add and what you need to subtract to make it happen. The OLYMPIAN that ROCKED BOOTYCamp!

Hey TEAM! GREAT Job yesterday!

Everyone worked HARD so in the end you were rewarded with 1 Champion, nniiiiiicccccceeeeeeeee. We wowed the onlookers and the NIKE Executives… They said they’ve been around the world and there’s no place that busts their A$$ more than New York City. That’s why I love ya!

The OLYMPIAN

I’m so happy you got to see a world-class athlete perform her skill for you yesterday. She was a Triple Jump Champion. Simi Adeagobo trained the greater portion of her life to excel at her sport. She dropped everything to the best, to take a chance on greatness. Her GRACE and POWER combined was almost unbelievable, right? :)

I thought it was interesting that she excelled beyond belief in one area but didn’t even finish close to first in the relay and was doing push-ups on her knees? We all have our strengths and weaknesses not only in fitness but in our lives. You can be an Olympian and still get beat in a Champion by bunch of hardworking New Yorkers busting their asses on a Tuesday Morning :)

I think the thing I learned from her is that she DECIDED to focus on what she was GREAT at, her STRENGTH, and that’s why she succeeded in her sport. She didn’t focus on anything she was average at because to be an Olympian you must be “extraordinary” at a specific skill. Simi focused on her leaping ability, which is why she was able to Dominate.

We all have something we’re extraordinary at. I believe we were put on this planet to find that skill and it’s almost a sin not to use it. My client Marty is great with numbers so he dominates at Goldman, Annabel loves fashion so she’s one of the top celebrity stylists in the world, I’ve adored working out ever since I was a little girl so I focus on Fitness. If you can find you’re extraordinary SKILL and put your entire heart into it… The sky is the limit.

I’m a firm believer that sport/fitness is a microcosm of life… If you want to feel the glory of being a Champion in your life you must focus on what you’re great at… Train it, Trust it, and watch your greatness unfold.

June BOOTCamp! is off to a HOT start!

GLORIOIUS Day 1 Guys!

You’re energy was GREAT and your enthusiasm was through the roof. I looovveeeee it. Today was Test Day- The introduction to camp, the people, the field. I don’t want you to take this month for granted, take the time to focus on what you want out of June. Use your journal to stay on top of your food outside of your workouts and figure out what you’re going to do on the off BOOTY Days.  Be it run or take a class, have a plan of attack this month so you can dominate your fitness.

Lee and Annabel are veterans that are PERFECT examples of people who’ve busted their Asses to be at the Top of their fitness games. Both have gotten much faster, stronger, and have learned what it is to balance fitness with life. It takes discipline but once you start feeling the power, there’s no turning back! BRING IT BOOTYS!

TEAM MEETING

The Team Meeting will be held on Saturday June 12th from 1030am-1130isham at Peak Performance New York City.  The meeting will take about an hour annddd I highly recommend you come. We are going to go over everything fitness. Everything I think you need to know. Come with questions because we will be ready with answers.

You will have 3 Top Fitness Gurus there spilling our vast knowledge and passions to you. Marissa Lippert my go to nutritionist will be there to go over any and all of your food questions. How do you do that? YOU work it out this month on a regular, you bust it when we bust it, and you rest when you have a rest day. You eat right and take care of you.. COME June 24th lets wow ourselves.

Week 1 Complete!

PEOPLE! OUTSTANDING  job today!

That was a great showing of effort and spirit!  I loved it… Did you see the audience gathering they want to be on the Team… GREATNESS. My last email was ccrraazzzyyy long so this time I’m going to cut to the chase.

SATURDAY = Team Meeting

  3. Why? Finish what you started. You signed up for BOOTYCamp! because you wanted to change your body. So get all the info you need to make that happen… It’s NOT just about sweating people.
  4. BONUS, Nutritionist Marissa Lippert and Life Coach Jessica Clark PLUS me Lacey Stone Fitness Icon J will be there… All questions will be answered.

DO NOT FORGET your journals – Marissa will be taking them and giving you notes as to what you can improve on.  I will return your journals to you Tuesday.

NEXT WEEK IS GOING TO ROCK

Shout out to Annabel, Steve, and Miriam for pulling the Double on Tuesday Night post the 5am wake-up call… They did Le Gran Jeu in the evening at Greenwich along with Day 1 of BOOTY. Shout out to Shane and Mir for defending their Champion Title against any and all naysayers. Shout out to all the BOYS for BRINGING IT… I love the levels of fitness we have in this camp. YOU guys are FIIITTTTT!!! And the harder you try to be your best the more you push each and everyone else to be their best. I’m soooo happy this is a co-ed camp… Because there’re no limits on anybody, only you can limit yourself. Do NOT be intimidated by your follow campers, be inspired to do better… They are just a boy or a girl doing their best. RAISE your game so that others around you will be inspired to do the same… “Do your BEST every day and your BEST becomes BETTER.”

Happy APRIL!  This month is about POWER… Aries are known for their FIRE their drive, and their passion. I should know… April 17th is my BIRTHDAY :)   Hip HIP HOORRAAYY, lets celebrate all month long with GREAT workouts and FIREY power plays in and outside of the gym. WATCH out World!

Camp is about taking 1 month out of your life to work on being “your” best… Not only physically but mentally. Together as a Team we carve out 2 days a week to have ROCKStar Workouts outside in the summer sun… I make it my mission to keep on top of all 28 participants with Bi-Weekly emails and constant support. If you’ve been looking for something that will SPARK you, change the way you feel about yourself and your body… BOOTYCamp! is the answer. I run this camp as a stand for all people looking to unleash their inner AWESOME.

*INSPIRATION – “DREAMERS”

I’m a dreamer. I can’t help it. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t because BIG dreams can bring BIG drama… Lots of hard work, rejection, majoooorrr checks on patience, and the dreaded word … failure. If you want to be amazing, to be the BEST at something, failure is part of the equation.

I had a big “a’ha moment” about a week ago… I realized I was so afraid of failing that I wasn’t taking any chances. I wasn’t really going for it because I didn’t want to mess up. I was caught up in being so perfect that I wasn’t taking the risks necessary to differentiate myself from the pack. I forgot what had gotten me where I am in the first place, me. I’m different, I’m a little bonkers, a risk taker, yes a little crazy at times but that’s what makes me, me. We all have our inner core of who we are. The thing that no one else can copy or take away from us because it’s our essence.

Why am I telling you this… Because I feel free. I realized my fear of failing or making mistakes was getting in the way of my true potential. To be great, to be unstoppable is to fail. There can be no light without darkness, just as there can be no wins without losses. Making mistakes is what we learn from, what makes us grow into the people we were born to be.

This month I’m going to focus on not just staying in the game… I’m focusing on dominating the game, maybe losing sometimes but knowing in my heart that I SWUNG for the rafters… Because I’m a home run hitter, I’m a dreamer. Do you hear me, do you get what I’m saying? Are you a dreamer? Then DOMINATE… Play to win.
